Yawn Station Christmas Tree Farm began as a dream rooted in family and faith. Joe and Kay Gersch planted their first trees in 2006, joining the Southern Christmas Tree Association that same year. By 2009, their vision came to life as the farm opened it's gates to the community - quickly becoming a cherished holiday tradition for families near and far.
In 2019, our beloved "Farmer Joe" was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. His passing left a void that could never be filled, but his spirit still lingers in every tree that grows on this land. Kay, determined to carry on the legacy they built together, kept the farm running with the help of their son, Little Joe.
After the 2023 season, Kay officially retired, passing the torch - and the heart of the farm - to Little Joe. Today, he proudly owns and operates Yawn Station with his wife, Connie, who helps keep things running smoothly and handcrafts our beautiful fresh wreaths. You'll still find other family members working across the farm, sharing smiles, stories, and the same love for Christmas that started it all.
For us, Yawn Station isn't just a tree farm, it's a family tradition, built with love, rooted in community, and grown right here in Louisiana soil.
Our main goal is to provide a quality tree that you can purchase and cut to bring home to celebrate Christmas.
We work with farms that send freshly cut fir trees that we pickup in a refrigerated truck. We recut and put in water on arrival assuring you we are doing our best to keep the tree alive for your purchase.
